I have decided to retire in Jan of 2027 a year sooner than planned. I currently have the 600 RWHP 01 Convertible sitting in the garage that really doesn't get driven much. I put like 500 miles at best on her last year. Now that I have the C3 that has always been my favorite Corvette body style I'm really thinking of letting the C5 go. I love both cars but prefer the C3 over the C5. it's not about the HP any more and I can always and probably will make some mods to the drivetrain of it but nothing like the C5 has. There is no way I'm going to get anything close to what I have in it and didn't have that expectation when I did the mods. I'm also not about to do the asking people on FB what it's worth. I laugh at those post. it's an 01 Torch red Vert with 38K mileage, Supercharges with A&A V3 Si head unit. BTR Red hot cam package, AMR headers with cats along with a built 4L60e capable of taking 100HP, Circle D torque converter. it's not a car for the purist that's for sure. LOL good thing is I don't have to sell it but we have 4 vehicles now with a 2006 BMW Z4 Vert coming in July that will be my track car. I can get rid of the C5 or put a lift in one of the garages.
How much are you asking? Sounds like the perfect vette. How is the water temps in town?
Probably going to start around 30. I know that's a little high but can always come down. Sitting in houston traffic in the summer she runs 207-214 moving down the road 201 with it 98-100 outside. I have a dual fan Dewitt's low profile radiator for the supercharger for her just haven't installed it yet.
Document what you have and how it was done and it will better define the build on the car. Put is all in a note book and provide as much info as possible. This helps buyers know just what they are getting and more likely to spend more on the car.
Mods are not a sin but often they diminish values if they are not outlined well and documented. Same applies to restoration of a car or higher mileage cars as if they can show work and work well done it takes fear of buying the unknown out of it.
