Default Wheel hp

What is an all stock z06 rear wheel horsepower??? I looked online, and it seems to be all over the place.

Because "some" online people are ridiculous and want to play "big weiner dyno number" games......some are dynojet numbers, some are mustang dyno numbers, some are load based, some are inertial, some are SAE corrected, some are STD corrected. Dynos are not really good at being a "measuring" tool, they are OK when used as an A/B comparison tool.

Whats important here is YOUR baseline and using THE SAME dyno, hopefully in similar conditions to compare gains.

587ish would be a reasonable assumption, with dyno queens reaching into the 610-615 range.

60-130 would be a more reliable metric, IMO

60-130 is subject to elevation and atmospheric conditions, so that’d be like uncorrected dyno numbers which I don’t know of anyone who does that.

Yes, im not suggesting that someone compare 60-130 times against someone else's, but to compare it to their own...

Understand, but weather conditions are a variable is all I’m saying as some who don’t pay attention to DA may not which is why one doesn’t use their own uncorrected numbers on a dyno to compare runs on different day.

Agreed, hopefully someone would have the common sense to use a draggy for metrics

Yeah it shows DA, but doesn’t actually do the correction right? Fastest time is going to come from as cold as possible as long as the tires still hook. Know it accounts for the slope, but one variable it doesn’t factor in is wind direction right?

Yes, correct. But you do know onw thing, how fast it took you to get there, which you dont get from a dyno.

Again, whatever is important to you, cool. I rather real world performance over a pretty piece of paper, personally.

I hear ya, but that’s how an inertia dyno works as it measures power by recording how fast the roller is spun up in a certain amount of time no?

Does it also tell you how fast you get from point a to point b? If so then yes, would be similar.

Does it give you the same feeling as doing the pull yourself on a track? Not for me.

To each their own.
