Yep. Got us E-Ray owners good on that one for sure.
But. I also read that because the GS-X is a "1 2 or 3LT" model it won't come standard with HUD not fan you get the high end carbon fiber steering wheel or appointments? Crazy. Should've left the qidebody cars as LZ not LT.

I asked about this at the Bash and was told they learned a lot with the Eray and found they over-engineered the Eray and they didn't need the center unit. Saved a bit of weight too.

What I saw on a recording of a Bash presentation was they listened to owners dislike of the extra heat so redesigned to remove center and made side front radiators deeper to account for bigger engine and larger electric motor.
Just curious if you have any evidence of this, or just hopeful? By the way, nothing wrong with being hopeful.
No evidence, but I saw it in the preliminary print when the Grand Sport-X information was first released. Plus, as you already know, the base (1LZ) E-Ray did in fact come with HUD as standard. Not sure why this whole ‘1LT versus 1LZ thing’ should even matter, they are both still standard/base packages. If it was standard in a 1LZ then of course it could still also be standard in the 1LT package of what is essentially the same car (E-Ray and Grand Sport-X) with some new updates.
And I am definitely not hopeful for it, I actually do not like or want HUD and am considering a Grand Sport-X, so I will be thankful if it is not standard.

Because that is how it is. I understand the frustration, but GM makes the rules; take it or leave it. The same logic that applies to the LT vs LZ distinction is also at play here with the availability of the carbon fiber steering wheel.
