2016 Chrome Wheel Repair
2016 Stingray Z51 rear chrome wheel has slow leak after installation of new tires. Tire store says it is a defect in the chrome plating and needs a new wheel. Looking for feedback on options to repair rather than replace wheel such as have it re-chromed.

I had a leak after new tires were installed. The guy didn't know how to install the TPMS. Did you check the valve stem for leaks with soapy water?

Look up Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists - there is a franchise location in Jefferson City, TN.

They aren't the only wheel repair company, just the one I happened to use in the St. Louis area. They did a perfect job straightening a bent rear chrome wheel on my GS. They claim to be able to repair or remanufacture almost any wheel.

The chrome isn't what holds the air in. It's possible the aluminum has corroded and become porous.

Did you replace the entire TPMS for that wheel? You said, "small air bubbles in one place". Is that around the rim of the valve stem? That's what I had after the, tire store, screwed mine up.
