Anti rust rotors?
I'm considering using a rust converter type product in the cooling fin area of my rotors to get rid of the rusty water that ends up in the wheel. My C5 rotors were zinc plated, so it wasn't a problem. These on my Grand Sport always leave ugly residue no matter how much I try to blow them dry and then it's back under the car to clean the barrels again. Has anyone tried this or have a good solution? I'm not sure if the rust converter will hold up to the heat.

I used OSPHO poured into the cooling fins followed by hi-temp spray paint on mine a while back. Did a decent job preventing rust. The brake dust still puddles onto the barrels if I don't use a blower and let it dry in the sun. Still better than it was. Doing this could have an effect on the rotors cooling properties if you intend to track your car.

I used POR-15, think it took two kits do do all four rotors. If I remember, I brushed the edges with a wire brush soaked in CLR to clean them, but I think any of the liquid de-rust products will work just as good.
