Default Wheel rub one side

Ok guys looking for direction on this issue. My drivers side front tire when turning right almost hits the fender. Tire size is 235/60/15 on Cragar wheels with a spacer. Right side has more space. I was wanting to go to 255 all around but this one tire is the issue. Any way to get more clearance?

Have you checked alignment and condition of control arm bushings?

Hello c,
Have you checked the 'ride height' on each corner?
There are guide lines in the AIM.
In my 71 AIM the chart is in the front of the Manual UPC 0, Sheet A-12.
This might reveal a little spring sag at that corner.
Regards....

What's the backspace of the Cragar wheel? What size spacer? 3/8" for caliper clearance?

I believe it was 1/2” whatever Cragar recommended

well wheel size and backspace are a big part of this... as is the spacer.
I have run 255s on many C3s from 69 to 82 without issue and almost all lowered suspension... there has always been a touch more clearance on one side over the other as the nody doesnt always sit exactly the same on the frame, mounts etc.
a 255 will likely fit with an 8" wheel and 4" backspace (factory)
as the backspace gets smaller it pushes the wheel outward... if you have a 4" backspace and add a 1/2" spacer now you have 3.5" backspace and the wheel is out too far.
I had to go to 245/60s with a 8.5" wheel and 3.77" backspace... the 255s no longer fit and rubbed the front fender.
I am assuming your running the spacer to clear calipers on those Cragars... if not try removing the spacer.
