Default Recent purchase CPO warranty question

I recently purchased a 2024 Z51 from a Chevy dealer. It had 3800 miles on it and a 1 owner car, with all the service done at the dealer I bought it from. In the deal negotiations, the sales manage stated it was a CPO car and that because of that it would have an additional year of warranty thru GM. I've asked the dealer how I would prove that to my local dealer which is 200 miles from the purchasing dealer. I get promised emails etc, but nothing.
Does anyone know how this process works, and how I would prove that to the new servicing dealer near my home?
Thanks

Log on to the My Chevrolet website and enter the VIN for your car. The different warranties will be listed in the warranty section. I would think a CPO warranty would be listed there.

CPO is done from CarBravo now…there no longer is “Chevrolet Certified Pre-Owned”. You should have signed the Inspection form, and all of the paperwork that explains your coverage and expiration dates/miles.

it is VIN based.

CarBravo is owned by GM:

Is CarBravo owned by GM?Yes, CarBravo is owned and backed by General Motors (GM).

It serves as GM's centralized online marketplace and certified pre-owned program for U.S. Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC dealers. The platform allows dealerships to sell both GM and non-GM used vehicles under one unified platform, all backed by warranty coverage from GM.

A modern era for used vehicles: GM’s Certified Pre-Owned program merges with CarBravo

A modern era for used vehicles: GM’s Certified Pre-Owned program merges with CarBravoHot take: used-car shopping doesn’t have to feel like pulling teeth. It can be convenient, value-driven, and even a little fun. Starting June 2, U.S. Chevrolet, Buick and GMC certified used vehicle sales programs will come together under one modern, easy-to-love platform, CarBravo, that makes it simpler to find the right ride, price, coverage and experience, all in one place.

This is not the launch of a new program, but an evolution of one that has been in market for more than three years. CarBravo will become GM’s sole used vehicle certification program for U.S. Chevrolet, Buick and GMC dealers and allow them to certify and sell GM and non-GM makes and models. Cadillac will continue operating its own independent Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program, and GM Canada will maintain a traditional CPO structure tailored to that market.

Evolving with a Changing Market

OEM-backed CPO programs were originally built in the 1990s and centered around late-model off-lease vehicles. Today, U.S. vehicles on the road average 12.8 years in age and in 2026, consumers are forecasted to purchase about 38 million used vehicles – 20 million through retail channels1 — compared to 15.8 million new vehicles.

Shoppers now expect the used vehicle experience to match the rest of their digital lives: always-on, transparent and convenient. They want more choices across more price points, plus the confidence that comes from buying a vehicle that’s been thoroughly vetted and backed by a brand they trust.

CarBravo is GM’s answer. It gives dealers the confidence to stand behind a greater catalog of vehicles on their used lot and provides customers the freedom to choose how they want to shop — online, in-store or a mix of both – all with access to some of the best warranty coverage in the used car industry.

Customers can complete most steps online, then tap into in-person expertise at a nearby participating dealer for test drives, trade-ins or delivery. It’s a true omnichannel experience.

A modern era for used vehicles: GM’s Certified Pre-Owned program merges with CarBravoStanding Apart from Other Used Car Platforms

Like other online retailers, CarBravo offers a broad selection of vehicles and an easy digital shopping experience. Where it breaks away from the pack is in what powers that experience. CarBravo is backed by GM and its expansive dealer network.

Every CarBravo certified vehicle, regardless of brand, goes through a comprehensive inspection and reconditioning process. Purchases also include roadside assistance and access to GM’s nationwide service network of more than 4,000 dealers.
  • The Bravo Tier covers vehicles up to 10 years old with fewer than 100,000 miles and includes a 12‑month/12,000‑mile bumper‑to‑bumper limited warranty2 that begins after any remaining OEM warranty expires.
  • The Budget Tier is designed for value-focused shoppers, covering vehicles 10–15 years old with no more than 150,000 miles and including a 30‑day/1,000‑mile powertrain limited warranty2. It extends GM-backed confidence to older, higher-mileage vehicles that are often sold “as-is” elsewhere.
Customers aren’t relying on a single lot or distant call center — they have thousands of service bays, factory-trained technicians and a dedicated customer support team behind them. That combination of strong coverage, deep service support and in-person care is built to deliver more peace of mind than online-only and non-automaker platforms can provide.

Proven Results and a Growing Footprint

Since launch, CarBravo dealers have sold more than 200,000 vehicles, with strong year-over-year growth. In January of this year, CarBravo dealers sold 2.3 times the certified volume of Chevrolet, Buick and GMC dealers using traditional CPO.

CarBravo is also attracting new customers: more than 70% of buyers say they had never purchased from their selling dealer before, and 48% had never bought from any GM dealer. Through November 2025, CarBravo-generated leads resulted in more than 6,200 new vehicle sales for Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac — that’s over 550 new-vehicle sales per month on average.

More than 750 dealers across all 50 states are already enrolled in CarBravo. For customers, it means more value, choice, ease and confidence in one place. For dealers, it means a single, strong certified used‑vehicle engine bringing new-to-GM shoppers into their store.
From CarBravo's website:
Created by General Motors, CarBravo is the relentlessly positive certified used car brand that’s full of an array of makes and models just waiting for their next driver. Where other used car brands pump the brakes, we keep the experience going long after purchase with our standard limited warranty,* roadside assistance,* and more.

I also bought a CPO 2024 back in January. Your Bumper to Bumper and Drivetrain warranties will both be extended by 12 months .. It is an official GM warranty so the 2 extra warranties will appear on your MyChevrolet account when you logon. You will also get 2 Free Oil changes as well for being CPO .

Keep in mind though that if you want to purchase a GM extended Warranty .. it must be purchased before the original bumper to bumper warranty expires .. NOT the CPO Bumper to Bumper expiration ...

Back in January my car was still a Chevy Certified Pre-Owned vehicle and included all the paperwork and inspection documents indicating that .. ... not sure when Car Bravo started.

I'm curious. I noticed that some of the CarBravo warranties could be purchased for long durations/miles. I wonder if it is possible to negotiate with the selling dealer to extend the CarBravo CPO warranty to make the Chevrolet Protection Plan unnecessary.

The 2023 70th Z06 I purchased a few months ago was “cpo” through Carbravo. 12mo/12k mile B2B warranty that shows up on the MyChevrolet app/portal. I went ahead and bought the GMPP 7yr warranty as well since I plan on keeping this one a while, but I would have been confident in the Carbravo if it was a short term hold. As others stated, there should have been Carbravo paperwork as part of the purchase if it’s included.
