This is a NOS (New Old Stock) genuine GM part that has never been opened. It is still sealed in its original packaging. The Part Number is: 3757865. This fits 1959 to 1962 Chevrolet Corvettes with a manual transmission.

I have been asked about the condition of this plate. It looks to me to be perfect, but I cannot tell without removing it from the packaging which I will not do (once I do that I can no longer absolutely prove that this is a new, NOS GM part).
The difficulty is that this part has been around for a long time, so how can you tell if there are any issues? Below are two pictures as an example. A "blemish" moves when I pull the plastic a bit - this shows that the blemish is in the plastic and not in the part itself. Are there zero blemishes on the part? I can't tell you beyond saying I have found ZERO issues of any kind - it looks perfect to me as well as I can see through the very old plastic packaging. The back is paper so I cannot see through that.
I cannot in good conscience tell anyone that it is a perfect part. It looks that way, but the only way to be sure is to open it. Sorry about being wishy-washy here, but if I state anything else I am feeding folks a load of BS that I cannot substantiate.
