My new to me 2019 ZO6 had 16000 miles on it when I bought it. Now at 20000 miles I'm noticing the rear diff whine with throttle applied only. It's not loud, so I don't know if it was there from when I bought it or recent development. If the exhaust is in sport mode you can't hear it and I've recently been running the exhaust in tour mode so noticed it now. I have new correct gear oil ordered and will change it next week and see what happens. I already did the trans triple flush myself and it cured the slight shudder I started to notice. I like to do all my own work, but if it needs a new rear diff I'm considering having it done.
So has anyone had this work done in the SoCal area? Anyone you would trust to do it right with a warranty on their work? Would you replace or have it rebuilt? I've read that the 2019 ZO6 got an upgraded rear diff, so I would think it should only be ring and pinion meshing and not the bearings also?
Thanks for any help!
On my 2017 Z06 I started to get a slight whine, I changed the fluid with the recommended GM fluid and is fine now. I think some of the factory fills were low. I would definitely do that first
