Early 85 no crank!
My 85 (manual) left me stranded. First time ever it didn't start. No sound or click, nothing. I found the problem was the starter. Brand new starter, did it on the side of the road. Now my problem is the crank fuse keeps blowing, but it will start without it? Confuses the hell out of me. The starter interrupt relay I replaced and the new one made no difference. I now get in and have to cycle the key several times between ignition and start and on the 5th or 6th time it goes. It makes a click noise every cycle of the key. The crank fuse has been blown for a while I couldn't bother to keep replacing it and it acts the same with or without it.

Id stress test the battery then clean and tighten all the connections and grounds at the battery and starter. Just because its new doesn't mean the starter is good.
