the injectors in my 1986 C4 corvette are firing, but they aren't shooting the gas, why? I was sitting at idle when the car died on me, I'm getting spark and air and I've narrowed it down to my injectors, using a stethoscope i can hear the injector clicking and when testing the electrical flow for them they are also getting electricity. Has anybody else had this issue? If so, how did you fix it?

If you have the original sending unit and Fuel pump Id check them out.
When I pulled my sending unit it had Rust on it and some had made it way to bottom of tank.
Not allot but enough.
I would replace fuel filter too.
If car sits allot outside with no cover.
You can replace them all for Under $100.
Like the other said FPR can be replaced for 40$ to cheap insurance, 1986 was a long time ago.
