Default 1977 Headlight Dimmer/turn signal lever diagram?

Hello wonderful people!

I have a '77 with tilt/tele wheel, I know it was a one off year for some of the parts and I'm having a hard time finding a diagram of how the parts inside the steering column should be assembled for the turn signal/headlight dimmer lever.

Pulled lever to turn on high beams and it clicked and turned on, then lever went limp. I checked the switch at the bottom of the connected rod and it does manually push and click and changes from high to low, the rod was not connected to it, so I popped the rod back in place, but still no pressure against the lever, seems like it's not connecting inside the column.

When I went to take the cover off at the lever, 2 pieces fell out. They don't appear to be broken, so I'm hoping someone here has a diagram or good picture of how these two pieces are supposed to attach to the end of the rod and the lever.

Thanks in advance!

Here is a drawing that may help...
Using your provided photos:
The part on the left I believe is call the actuator, number #79 on the diagram...
The part on the right is the tip of the dimmer rod, it has fallen off...

Thank you very much!

I had figured the one piece slipped onto the end of the rod. But for the life of me couldn't figure out how the other part connected, that at least showed me the correct orientation and knowing the part name was able to search and find another post here that had a picture.

Was still quite a hassle to get it in there, but we are working again!

That was the hard part... The way I did it was to tilt the wheel all the way up, pull the turn signal/dimmer lever towards the steering wheel and inserted the bottom portion of #76 then tilt the wheel all the way down. Unscrew the tilt lever (if yours has cruise control on the tilt lever, make sure to note how many times the wiring was wrapped around it once unscrewed so that you can wrap it around the same way when you go to screw it back in, mine was 4 times).
Disconnected the rod from the dimmer switch so I had more room for inserting the actuator #79. Used some grease on the actuator and placed it inside the column (not inside #76) with needle nose pliers, the grease helps hold it in place. Then held the actuator in place with one hand and reinserted the rod into the switch with the other (this helped to hold the actuator piece in place a little bit). Very slowly and carefully wiggle #76 into place without hitting the actuator as it will fall out of place. Once in place, I used some adhesive for extra insurance to make sure it stayed. Then screw the tilt lever back in.

In my case the dimmer only fully engages the switch when the steering wheel is tilted down, so I'll need to adjust that at some point. But that's a project for later as the bracket that you're supposed to remove from the steering column to get to the switch adjustment screws is welded on mine and doesn't unbolt like all the references I've found.
