71 Engine Bay Wiring Harness Tape ?

I am repairing the engine bay wiring harness and would like to rewrap as close to factory as possible.

I have found that some of the wiring is done with the plastic non stick tape and some with cloth.

Can you please point me in the wright direction as to what is correct or did they use both ?

On my 77. The original wiring harness wrap was plastic, no adhesive tape. No cloth wrap anywhere.
although a couple wires have a heat protective sleeve on them.

Lectric Limited sells several types of OEM tape. The most common is the PVC non-adhesive. Certain locations used a cotton back non-high temp adhesive to reinforce branches. TI harnesses were cotton back adhesive high temp.

Hello,
One of the few (maybe only) places that the old fashioned black cloth electrical tape was used is on the vacuum and pcv hose on the left side of the engine.
It was used as 'zip tie'.
