First 'vette here, a lil ragged 80/4sp bought to be just a fun driving car. window regulators and motors are new in boxes not installed. Totally missing outside door window weatherstrip & moulding on dr door. I'm reading a lot of older posts mentioning very poor quality vs very good from various weatherstrips purchased. As I said, seem to be very old posts(10 yrs or more). Please comment on good/better & poor quality products/vendors available these days. Also missing the rear track/channel for dr side window and I'm not seeing any "felt" in the channels that are there. Is there supposed to be? Still searching online for good parts diagrams. Have a gm shop manual coming I think. Are these belt line mouldings, that I call dew wipers, multiple pcs., i.e. stainless/chrome 1 pc and felt or vinyl/rubber another? There are massive price differences for what I see online at summit, top flight etc. Would sure hate to spend top money and receive poor quality parts if less expensive are actually better. Any comments on any of the above are appreciated, thanks. reading copying and saving massive amounts of posts from here already.
Hello 80/4,
Welcome!!
A very good source is Dr.Rebuild.
Might have some of the parts you're looking for.
He can be difficult to deal with but people seem pleased with his parts.
