Recently, moved to a new location and the water here is absolutely horrible. Haven't dared washed the car with it yet, but it leaves water spots all over the shower doors that are nearly impossible to get off. There used to be this thing made that would attach to your hose and filter the water before you sprayed your car with it. Have served all over amazon and all I can find are six hundred dollar water filtration systems. What does everybody else use in these circumstances?
I live in an area that has TERRIBLE hard ....calcium filled-- "city" water (pumped from city owned wells). I spent many hours trying to get water spots off the glass shower doors and even stainless steel sinks!!!
At the advice of a local plumber... I bought a water De-scaler" from Home Depot. It cost about $45 and----- while the problem is not gone.... IT IS 80% ELIMINATED. It sounds like witchcraft... but this damn thing actually works. Google them and you'll see what I mean. It's a small unit that attaches to the indoor water supply to your home.
I've been a home owner for nearly 60 years... and this may have been my best purchase to date.
