C6 Corvette ZR1 & Z06General info about GM’s Corvette Supercar, LS9 Corvette Technical Info, Performance Upgrades, Suspension Setup for Street or Track
I picked up 2 deals at Summit Racing yesterday - MSD Atomic Air Force & BTR Trinity intake for LS7. My build (old, 2013) has FAST LSXR. Matt @ 21st Century told me “that’s what we had, back then” (along with ZR1 52lb Injectors & Centerforce dual-plate clutch).
When I took the car in for tuning early March and inquired about my bolt-ons vs. “newer” parts, Matt said that an Air Force and updated injectors (better spray pattern) might yield 20hp but, for the money, I might not can tell the difference.
Based on my research, all things being equal, both the MSD & BTR intakes might yield higher peak HP, at the expense of mid-range torque/hp vs. my FAST intake.
I will be offering whichever intakes I don’t use, for sale on this Forum.
Attached is the dyno sheet from March 2nd.
Thanks,
Chris Don’t know why “waterfall” not displayed. Maybe Matt trying to save me from myself?
Very interested. Also interested if they'd recommend a newer cam grind. Intake testing is always fun.
Will you have any porting done on either intake? It seems the MSD needs a bit of work to get the best out of it.
I guess I’m looking for opinions as to whether I should replace my FAST with either the BTR or MSD.
Unfortunately, I know nothing about my cam. When I replace the trunions with CHE bushed, I will measure lift at the pushrods. I’m not sure if the dyno sheet reveals anything about the cam.
I have WCCH factory heads that were ported and shaved to 11.5 cr. (BTR springs & Ti retainers)
NW throttle body (102,103?), ZR1 52lb injectors, Callaway Honker, Kooks 1 7/8”, their x-pipe w/cats, to NPP.
