Today, on June 17th, a violent tornado hit Effingham, Illinois and some reports are that Mid America MotorWorks supposedly got hit and destroyed, and all the Corvette cars inside of it. Waiting for verification. Hopefully this is not true but should know more information tomorrow...

I just now came across Mike Yager's (The owner of Mid America Motorworks) FB post about the tornado that struck Effingham, IL. Mid America Motorworks is completely destroyed. All the Corvettes and collectibles in his museum have been destroyed as well. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, Mike and his wife are currently on vacation in Italy and haven't seen the damages yet. Who amongst us haven't purchased any Corvette accessories, seen their catalog or attended one of their annual Corvette FunFest Events? BTW, this year's FunFest was scheduled for Sept 19. To the Yager family, sorry for the loss.
