I can’t seem to find the commonly recommended cheap replacement part (686420036890) they’re all out of stock and most of their retailers anyways can’t ship to KSA, and I’m definitely not interested in spending GM shifter-**** money just to fix this.
I’ve read about people using zip ties or paper clips as a workaround, but I’m having a hard time understanding exactly how it’s done. I can’t really visualize where they go or how they hold everything together.I’ve also seen mentions of universal replacement parts, but I’m not sure how well they fit or what modifications are needed. I try not to mess with the interior too much since a lot of the trim pieces are pretty fragile, so I’m not very educated and confident when it comes to this kind of repair.
If anyone has pictures, a guide, or can explain it in simple terms, I’d really appreciate it.
