I am looking for references to complete the restoration on my 78. I am located in Eastern North Carolina. Primarily what is needed is assembly of various components on the body as well as interior items. I have very little mechanical Knowledge and the mechanic I started the process with is no longer capable of performing the remaining tasks. Any recommendations for a shop specializing in C3’s would be appreciated. I have put feelers out to the local Corvette club but have had no luck.
Is gaining the mechanical knowledge something you're interested in? The body and interior don't generally require any sort of specialized tools - just run of the mill sockets, wrenches, and screwdrivers - so the outlay for tools is minimal.
I suggest you post a few pics of what needs to be worked on next and go from there.
