Does anybody in the Pueblo, CO area have a tech II that could match my new Corvette radio to my 2005 C6 ? The original radio stopped playing CD's and I found a replacement radio. Thanks in advance
Looking for someone with Tech 2 to turn off my Daytime Running Lamps. willing to pay some cash for the task. I am up in Denver.
Not going to happen, since your C6 does not have the RPO code(T79) that will list in BCM set up, to turn them off. 3:oo
Skip to 3:00 to see getting into the BCM set up, and notice that T79/day time running lights is not showing up in that list to turn it off,
In some cases, may be able to switch BCM "country of use to Mexico" to get the RPO option to show up in the BCM code set up to turn it off isntead (more of a C5 trick).
As for original op, which radio, standard disc or nav unit, since different option menus in tech II are used to remarry each type of radio.
Truth is, if your going to wrench on car, then really need to pick up your own tech II clone so you have it when needed.
There is the a few options, being the VX G nano that is the cheapest, but you need to be computer tech savvy setting one up on a lap top.
Next in line is the hand held clones that go for a few hundred, and so on.

Like some of us use switchbacks bulbs, maybe they have switchoffs 🤔🤔
I guess I don't know what that even is. 🤷🏼♀️

I want the stupid things permanently disabled. It's a waste of a bulb. I'm perfectly capable of turning my lights on when I need them and when it's appropriate.

Switchback work as your DLR lights are White till you use directional or emergency flasher at those points they switchback to Amber. Hence the term Switchback.
My little idea would be a bulb emulating current draw but are off till you need directional or flasher. My term switchoff or even Switchon. Might be a wire harness someone could make to act as that with a regular Amber bulb in where it cuts power to bulb but still draws the current so no DIC message. 🤷

Maybe, but all you need to do once you start the car, is rotate the light **** dial all the way clockwise and let it go, which will turn off the lights as well as the day time running lights as well.

Good luck
