When will you be going through Knoxville? The SMC would love to see you!

I think Knoxville is south right about 2 hours? I know we are going to the Aquarium in Chattanooga (probably nowhere near Knoxville - forgive the TN geography idiot) but I would be happy to make a trip out to meet up with the SMC peeps

If memory serves me correctly, there is a House of shorts (HOS) aka Hooter's in Chattanooga......This seems to be a iconic cultural resturant for the SMC....Hmmm....

Let's see.....Chattanooga, Grumpy, Butterfly, SMC, and Hooter's....

possibilities...possibilities.....

I'm all for heading to Grumpytown, but you gotta come through KTown to get there....well, you don't HAVE to, there are other ways, like going over the mountain to NC, down through SC across to GA back up to Grumpytown, TN. I'm guessing you'd rather come through KTown though.

Sounds like the possibility of TWO get-togethers?

I'm in! Let us know more your schedule and we'll see about fitting something in.

We have a "chat & chew" scheduled for 22nd in Dandridge (yes, you will have to get out your map). It is a little over an hour from Johnson City toward Knoxville. Dinner by the Lake

More than likely you will get on I-81 to I-40 and in Knoxville you will go I-75 to Chattanooga. It's about an hour and a half from Knoxville to Chattanooga (100 miles). Maybe we can catch you on your way back and dine somewhere in Knox as a possibility.

I am game for pretty much anything. This time around the trip is purely pleasure/vacation. I will arrive in Johnson City sometime late evening Sunday (takes about 14 hours to get there). I know Monday we aren't going anywhere cause Dad has an appointment but the rest of the week is clear. He mentioned going to the Aquarium in Chattanooga which is 4 hours from him I think and the incline? Have no idea where that is. We can either try and hook up at the hooters on the way back (especially if it is a day the Grumpster can come) or plan a time in Knoxville.

I will have Dad and the kids with me - Dad is cool, not old and feeble or anything and the kids are 16, 11 and 7 .

You guys know the area best so pick a spot and I will be there

I'll be working in Athens, TN that week and was going to ask Grumpy if he'd be up for a trip to Hooter's in Chattanooga. So, if it's Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, I'm in.
