I need help locating a shop that will mount my new tires on new rims purchased elsewhere?

I sent an email to Cooper Corvettes in Quantico, VA about a week ago and have heard nothing?

Just give Coopers a call. Ask for Tom. I'm sure they will do it.

I got mine mounted at Alban Tires in Springfield. If you call make sure you ask for Kevin Fish, he the manager there. He ordered my Michelins and ensured my tires were mounted to my approval.

There is a place off of 28/50 that I take my wheels too. It's been 3 years so I can't remember the name but if 28/50 is close for you I'll drive by and get their number for you. They have a hunter 9000 balancer with the road force

I have tried Curry's, NTB by Potomac mills mall and Manassas. In order from worst to slightly better is NTB Manassas, Curry's, NTB Potomac mills. My experience with Curry was they told me on the phone price would be $120 (which is what other corvette club members pay). The owner also races with our club. I drop off the vette because they prefer you drop it off, go back to pick it up and the counter guy rings up $160 bucks. The guy at the counter not the same guy who I had spoken to, would not lower the price, basically ignored my statements and conversion I had before I dropped it off. Take the vette home and gee, they mounted the tires all wrong. I had to take off work again to have them fix the mounting mistake. The owner did call me about 1.5 yrs later because he had seen or some one pointed out a reply I made on CF about my treatment. He did offer a full refund, I denied, he then offered a break next time I came in. So in his defense he does run his business very well and unfortunately can not look over every employees shoulder. But here is the thing with me. I know what drives people to do certain things and I deal with people everyday that make assumptions about me. So I will not be going back, it will get ugly if I get treated the same way.

NTB Manassas never gets it right and the loser they have working could care less about your nice shiny wheels. You know the sort of P*&( who will key a nice car just because they can.

NTB Potomac mills was doing okay the first two times with a few clichés but really screwed up the third time, no excuse for it.

Now I am dealing with these guys.

They have one guy who handles corvette tire changes. They treat everyone equally, are honest and provide a friendly atmosphere.
I also get my emissions and vehicle inspections done there. You can even drop off the car for emissions test.

I just take it to Joe Malo (Corvette-only mechanic) at Koons Chevrolet. After hearing horror stories from other fellow NVCC members at various places, some of which have been listed here (breaking sensors, bad mountings), I'm not taking any chances.

Seriously, I'd never let anyone else but Joe touch my car. He knows vettes inside and out, and has a true love and respect for the car (and has a black '91 of his own).

Sears at Dulles Town Center will mount them. Ask for Joe Jackson, he's the store manager. They have the right equipment and experience to mount run-flats. I think he charges about $30 per tire to mount.
