I faxed the fella the way I wanted the logo set up. Got the gray shirts that were a little more money. Added an extra screen set up fee of $40 to get red and black ink. That brings the total set up fee to $85--he was supposed to call me back to see if there was going to be an "art charge" (undisclosed amount) to put my hand drawn logo into the computer. This initial setup is crucial and once it's paid the first time, we don't have to pay any of it in the future.
The gray shirts will be $7 for S thru XL; $8.25 for XXL; and 8.75 for XXL--this is WITH the logo on the left chest and back
With 12 people in on the initial buy in it comes to everyone pitching in 8-9 dollars to cover the set up charges and then the above prices for the shirts. The total amount for set up and 41 shirts is around $430.
BUT--he never called me back today to discuss the logo after I faxed it to him. Hopefully he'll call tomorrow. The place is close to my work so I plan to pick them up Friday instead of having them shipped.
Ok--got it the logo will be black and red on gray shirts. He will email me the logo tomorrow am and will have the shirts Friday. The initial setup fee will be $100. The shirts will be as listed above plus tax. They should be very good looking. I'll figure out what everybody owes according to their order this evening when I get home.
Sorry, not going to Sanford. We decided to take a long weekend in Ocho Rios
Finalized costs are as follows: Set up was $100 for the logo and two colors of ink. That will add $9 to EVERYONE'S cost including mine. This is the ONLY time we will have to pay this.
Fellas, the logo simply KICKSA$$ Everybody will more than happy with the final result. I pick the shirts up tomorrow evening.
Tom, this place does hats too!!! I will ask what it costs to have the same logo embroidered on a hat when I pick them up. Since they have the logo on file now, that may save $$$

Very can't wait to see the final product. I just spoke with Kirby and Tom...(I'm currently in a hotel about 500 miles away right now) and do plan to be out on Saturday so if you want to bring them by I will pay you then
Jed,thanks for handling the shirts. I'm sure they will look great.
Can someone tell me about this auto-X on Sunday. I want to stop by, but I'm not sure about the time or location. Is there another thread about this?

If you are only spectating then you don't need to be there early like the rest of us so just come around 10:30 am on Sunday. The race is at Knights Stadium, just over the border in SC off highway 77. We have another thread in this section about the race where you can click on the link and get more exact directions.

Cool, thanks. I would have considered getting in on the action this time...but my brakes are pretty much toast. I don't have the time to get new pads until middle of next week.

Bring new ones with you to the Race and I'll show you how to change them right at the track. Once you do it a few times its really not that bad.

Really? That's f**king great. My biggest problems are (1) that I don't have anybody to show me how to do that stuff and I'm not comfortable just going by the manual, and (2) I don't have the time to drop the car off for servicing. (I asked my assistant to do that once and she thought I was crazy )
I appreciate the offer, your's too Tom, and I might bring some pads with me. Of course, I don't want anyone to feel an obligation to do it. Thanks guys.

At a shop rate of $80 per hour...I don't think Tom, Jed or myself will feel too bad about "helping"
Once you see how easy it is you will feel very comfortable doing it down the road (don't worry most of us are the same way about doing something on our cars that we have not done before) In fact the first (2) times I really screwed with my brakes Jim and then D1 from the RCG basically showed me all I needed to know.
We will have all of the tools with us so you don't need to bring anything other than your new pads. Tip: Buy some Z06 pads as they will stop much better and will also wear quite well as well. Also it will be highly unlikely that you will need to replace the rears as the front will wear out about twice as quick...so my recommendation is go to your Chevy dealer and just get some new front Z06 pads. I highly reccommend that you STAY AWAY from ceramic pads as they might not dust as much as regular pads, however you really trade of braking performance for the lower dust...not a good trade off IMHO. We won't be able to do this at the track, but down the road you can bring it by and I will show you how to properly bleed your brakes and change fluids. When we change the pads I'll also go over the correct procedure on what you need to do to properly bed the pads to the rotors.
