Default VA Beach

Started a post in Off Topic.......many said to see what you guys had to say! So...here I am....

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/sho...#post1551220192

Although maybe VA Beach isn't the "type" of place we are looking for after all. Any thoughts. Just 6 guys heading out for a few days of partying! Somewhere between Rhode Island and Georgia.

Thanks,
-Rick

6 guys looking to party should head to Myrtle Beach in SC if you want the beach. Myrtle is more commercialized and geared more to the the younger crowds.
VA Beach is all about the family IMO.

Although if you are staying at one of the hotels on the oceanfront you can still have a lot of fun.

True they do have the "no cussing" signs there but those are for the really obnoxious drunks that get out of hand.

If you are observed driving up and down Atlantic avenue more than twice that is considered "cruising" and you will get a ticket. This is more for keeping the traffic congestion down.

Wow, after rereading this Myrtle Beach is probably a better place to go.

Really, you can have a lot of fun here and if you are coming over labor day weekend you will be here for all of the concerts and fire works that they put on at the beach for the end of summer.

If you do decide on VaBch let us know. Maybe we can get a "Ratpack" cruise set up.

Thanks for all the comments guys! Myrtle Beach is close to double the distance for us. Close to 900 miles. Where as VA Beach is around 550. We will have to continue to think this over!

As far as a "ratpack" cruise goes. That sounds awesome! I will definately let you know if we are coming. We will have 4 Vettes with us!

I mentioned it in your other thread, but since it is a bunch of guys with corvettes, you should probably take advantage of your mobility.

Hit Atlantic City for 2 days, then Ocean City, then cruise down the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and hit VaBch for a few days. After that I doubt that you will feel the need to continue on to SC, but if you do, Go For It.

The best story my brother has from college is when he and his friends were on a trip from Richmond to Myrtle Beach and decided half way to scrap thier plans, turn West, and head to San Diego. - Now that may be a bit impulsive, but the point I'm trying to make is to take advantage of the chance when you have it. I doubt you'll have the chance to take a whirlwind tour of the east coast party cities when you are 20 years older.

That sounds like alot of fun, especially for a bunch of single guys.
