~~paging the SMC~~
MrsQ and I are thinkin of buying some property in Tennessee......we have to do a road trip to explore more but we kind of like thearea around Monteagle........does anyone have any links to local ads or classifieds???? Ive been doing searches but most of what I find are sub divisions that have lots of restrictions.......we are lookin for around 5 acres, wooded, maybe with a stream or a pond........any idea where to look???

Since it is somewhat close to Chattanooga I would start there with the local paper and/or the "homes and land" website. I would also consider contacting a local realtor and have them pull some listings off the MLS for you. You would be amazed at the number of loans we are doing for folks escaping Florida recently...alot of people are also looking for 2nd homes and investment properties that won't blow away.

There is a car theft ring that is located in the Grundy area close to Monteagle. They steal cars all over the Chatt. area. They are well connected and, as of yet, have not been caught. There are some developments starting between Chatt and Knox on the river if you are interested. Monteagle is a little remote for my blood but it has been ten years since I lived on Signal Mtn. so it may have gotten more populated and better by now. Just my .02.
