Just finalized the deal with Marko for the CCW track wheels and tires. Looks like you'll be pushing yourself to new limits again. You up for it? Didn't think so

Good Lord it is about time...but you NOW really have a big big problem....what can you possibly come up with as an excuse to come in second this year??
They are coming with hoosier as304s 275 35 18 fr and 305 30 18 rears. These tires should last me this season and then we'll see. I picked the whole package up for 1600 to the door from a fella in Raleigh that is friends with Shannon.
I should be very close to the alignment readings I want on my street set up too!
You must have him worried, Jed. He's over in C5 parts looking for CCWs.
Not a big surprise I've been looking for a good deal for about a year now...with this new engine set-up I REALLY NEED all the stickey rubber I can get to the ground...It is going to be difficult to drive to say the least
Hey Rick, not to worry, you have one thing Jed is a little light on...................................... ........................................ ........................................ ..seat time.
This is shaping up to be a great year of competiton. I kinda wish they would have separate classes, auto vs stick, so we'd have more chances to win more trophies.
Past seat time + Rick's new setup = a new beginning. The car will be a monster and personally he's a little timid (humble too )so I don't think he and the car will be a good match.
SM2 is going to be VERY interesting this coming year. We have Jed with new rubber, Rick with another engine, Chris with a new powerplant, and a hungry Andy with another monster ready to play. Any forecasts on who will be the King of the SM2? We'll need to make a trophy for that! Will Spidey enter this competition?
Those should work great. I have the same thing (CCW/as304s) but I haven't found a good way to get them to the events yet and I have cancelled out of every run since buying them last August. I hope they work out OK.
I thought Spidey was in ASP, I didn't notice if he had engine mods.

You could be right about Spidey. Hey, I thought you had a trailer. No excuses now. Are you going to Kershaw in Jan?

This is going to be one HELL OF A YEAR....It's going to be very interesting to find out who comes in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on this year!!
Sorry to "but-in" on ya`lls thread, but....
If I read your locations/names correctly, most of you are in the Hickory/Charlotte NC vicinity. I live in Hickory, and I think I have met one of you (Andy...if you are the guy that owns Bethelehem Salvage). He came over to look at the C4 bodied GT1 car that I had for sale some time back.
I have a very clean 94 6spd car for sale (I have it for sale on C4 For Sale thread), for a reasonable price. $9500.00 I will be coming out in the AutoTrader (Charlotte area) in a week or two. I thought I would pass this along in case any of you have a friend looking for a C4.
Hopefully I will catch one of you "get-togethers" next time ya`ll hook up. Might do some autocrossing this year, can`t ever tell.

We'd be glad to have you join us at any of the meetings. Our next one is Jan 14th at the QS&L off exit 49 on I85 at 1 pm. We're also forming a race team if you're interested.
Thankyou Strick. I will keep the race team in mind. I probably will not get a chance to do much autox this year, but, my son might (he and I are going to be sharing a car this year....assuming we get out of the GT1 business!).
I/We have a fairly aggressive hillclimb schedule this year (definetly going up to Wilkes-Barre PA for the 100th anniversary of Giants Despair Hillclimb...we are a past champ, but will be going for fun this time). There will be a hillclimb in NC (this will be the 4th year), August 5,6. Check out our website for some cool video clips and pics www.blueridgehillclimb.com
BTW. Our webmaster for www.blueridgehillclimb.com is a vette racer as well. He has a 63 convertible street car, and a 69 vintage racer (he is in the Sparta/Jefferson area).
