Default Corvette Clubs

I live in Manatee County, (FLA), and was wondering if any forum member belongs to a vette club. I've checked out a few on-line but wanted to hear from actual members and what their experiences/opinions are.

You should join the group heading down from the Tampa area to Clewiston this Sunday. I'm sure you'll meet a ton of fellow Vetter's who can give you the 411 on local clubs. There will be a huge cross-section of Florida Vette owners who can help you with any questions you may have. You are a stranger only once with this crowd!!!! Hope to see you and your White C5 this weekend.

Thanks for the info, but very very sad to say..... my vette is tucked away at my house in FLA, and I'm in Mass 3 weeks per month. Hopefully my travel plans and get togethers will coincide. I'll keep checking. Thanks.

I am not in a club but do live close by. Check out the sticky thread at the top of this forum for the Florida events listing. Let me know when you are in town and we can meet up and go to one.

This weekend is the cruise down to Clewiston Sunday. Another upcoming event is the NCRS meet and Sunday Car show in Old Town, Kissimmee (near Orlando) Jan 26-29. I bet there will be a group caravan over there either Saturday/Sunday or both. This would also be a good time to talk to some folks about their clubs. Corvette challenge at Bradenton raceway is an ongoing event. Plus the multitude of car shows in the area.

Sound like a plan. I'll be around next week. I'll PM you and perhaps we can get together for a cup of coffee or a beer or two. Take care.

There's Tampa Bay Vettes just up the road from you in Brandon. Just of 75/SR 60.
Huge club and a lot of activities.

Couldn't quite remember what assimilate meant, so I had to look it up.
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!

assimilate
1..Physiology.
a. To consume and incorporate (nutrients) into the body after digestion.
b. To transform (food) into living tissue by the process of anabolism; metabolize constructively.
2..To incorporate and absorb into the mind: assimilate knowledge.
3. To make similar; cause to resemble.
Linguistics. To alter (a sound) by assimilation.
4. To absorb (immigrants or a culturally distinct group) into the prevailing culture
