Hey everyone, my closing date on my new house is Feb 23rd. I'll probably be pretty busy that night and I'll be down in Centreville. If I decide I need a break from grouting, I'll head up to Fuddruckers.

I hate to miss this because I love their cheeseburgers!

Those sound like good explanations...

I just searched google for "grouting" and one of them had the lady and she looked so angry at the toothbrush....

Flaming tub guys is friggin' weird and I figured it belonged in the thread.

The one from the first series of the lady under the side-table is from a google image search gone wrong and it had a title like "looks like mommy is dead"... so in it goes.

I went by East coast today. No work has been done since the last time I saw the car, first week in Jan.... The inside and outside of the car are covered in dirt, and dust... It's sickening really. I hope the gauge cluster doesn't have dirt and dust behind the lens and i hope the radio still works.

Reed said the car will be done march 10 or the 13th 3 weeks ago. I asked him today if he can finish the car in 3 week and he said yes... Basically the only thing he has done to date is replace the rear quarter and remove the bumper covers. I don't see how he can fix the doors, bumpers, and paint the car in 3 weeks. I find it funny how 3 weeks ago he said he needed 6 weeks to finish the car and 3 weeks have gone by and still nothing has been done. Now he says he can finish it in 3 weeks. If he can finish the car in 3 weeks just Fen finish it already.

The time before last he was telling me how he wasn't looking foward to working on the car. I should have taken the car that day. He only had a few cars in the shop.. The other C4 is gone and the 50s vette wasn't there. Funny how the other C4 i saw there the last time was brought in after my car....

I'm going to go by there friday and if nothing has been done I'll pick up the car saturday. Every time I talk to him it's another story. Paint booth broke, I had a show to go to, my child was sick, Other projects needed to be finished first, new hire required training, ummm...

Well, if you pick the GS up from East Coast where will you take it and your monstrous collection of parts? Don't know anything about them but I have heard that WagenWerks (sp??) and Stingrays are pretty good.

The unfortunate thing here is if you take the car away from Reid (and if it isn't further along than at present you need to do so) is that you start the cycle all over again. Keep us informed as I, for one, am very interested in the performance of shops in the local area.

Reid is just stringing me along. There is no reason he couldn’t have fix the car by now. I guess he thinks I’m just a push over but we will see… I’m going to pull the car out of there Saturday if nothing has been done. I wanted to pick it up today but my father is out of town with his trailer.

Not sure where I'll take the car. I called stingrays today and they said they will take the car. They are working on other cars right now so it will be a few weeks before they can start work. Which is fine. No work is being done now as it is...

I am so sorry to hear about the rotten time you are having getting this car repaired/repainted.

Most people know that I am less than happy with EC with the experiences I have had there. Unfortunately you are now experiencing the same frustrations. I can't blame you for wanting to pull the car and go somewhere else. What a PITA to have to do that.

What sux is the whole attitude with which your car has been treated. If he loathed the idea of doing that car, he should have turned down the job. If he does get the car finished in 3 weeks it will be a hurried job. The dirt and dust it has been sitting in is also unacceptable. What is wrong with people?!

I would just bring it on over to Stingray's, the work I have seen from that shop is excellent. I'm pretty sure you and your car would be treated with more respect. Good luck...

Not sure if i can pick up the car before saturday. My plan is to put everything since my father's enclosed trailer.

He is going to do a rush job to get the car out in 3 weeks and it's not going to be fixed correctly. He told me yesturday that his shop is going to look like Boyd Coddington's in a few weeks. He had a few older cars in the back. that he was working on when I showed up. I guess those cars have a higher priority then mine.

Screw it, pull it out of there and send it to Stingray's. It'll be a half-@ssed job if you leave it there.

What could be a bigger priority than a Grand Sport? I can't believe the nerve of that guy...
