Default Waterside Friday!

Okay Vetterens, after careful consideration the committee has selected Rick Williams' plan for a Waterside Eve get-together at the Portsmouth Holiday Inn as the "official' Friday night social event of the weekend.

If you haven't seen Rick's thread, not only has he set aside rooms at reasonable rates but will also provide garage parking with a security guard for the night, hospitality rooms for those who wish to swap stories, an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner ($8.95), a car wash area for pre-Waterside freshening, and ... you're welcome even if you can't stay the night!

So, if you're gonna be in town Friday, and looking for someplace to go, you owe it to yourselves to stop by, meet some Forum Members and gear up for the Big Event Saturday. An evening cruise is a possibility.

The Holiday Inn is located at #8 Crawford Pkw, downtown Portsmouth, a 5 minute drive to Waterside. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel at 757-393-2573. Reservation code is CRP for the $60 rate.

Sounds like a plan Kathy and I already have rooms booked even though we just live 20 miles from Waterside

Third time I tried for reservations and each time they have been too busy to book the room. Off to find another hotel!

Sorry, Leo.. The hotel is very busy.....they stay pretty full..as it it a full service facility..and reservations are normally made by our reservationist instead of the desk clerks..

I will certainly be glad to make your reservation for you if you want...,Just let me know the room type, smoking or non..
I can guarentee it to my name...but if you want to go someplace else, I understand...
Have a safe trip back to Virginia...

Counting down to the weekend, boy do I need this trip!! Just got back Friday from a trip to Ohio to look at some of our equipment in overhaul. Not fun driving a Ford Freestyle instead of the Z06. Got a room in Chesapeake to visit relatives and friends in VA Beach. Not going to like the traffic but will enjoy the "RATPACK" friends.
See everyone Saturday Morning, 12 hours on the road and I'm gonna make it home on Sunday!
