[RECAP] Spring Skyline - WOW!!!

I want to thank all the cruise participants for making this such a successful event. $2,500.00 for our charity is absolutely outstanding! Good job!
I have read some of the post cruise threads and I think I have to agree that this is one of the best cruises we've ever had. For Linda and I, this is the first cruise in years that we were able to socialize more, and worry about less. That is due to the Shenandoah Valley Corvette Club's fantastic job of stepping in and doing what needed to be done. Not bad for their first event, eh? I want to especially thank Val and Andy Christian of SVCC. They went above and beyond the call of duty!!! I also need to thank Bob and Mary, Mark, Noland (sp?) and the rest of the crew. I can't wait to see how the fall cruise works out!
What did you think of the meet and greet on Friday night? Linda and I had a blast! Usually we're stuck in a motel room stuffing goodie bags the night before the cruise. Not that night! Great job SVCC!!!
One of the things that is a sure sign that I was free to do other things is that I got to take some pics yesterday. Actually, I shot over a half gig of pics!
I'm still uploading them and it will probably take me the rest of the day. As it turns out, I was on call for work last night and had to go in. So, I'm a bit behind with my uploading...
Thank goodness for cable modems! Hope you enjoy the pics!
Thanks again for an outstanding day. It really is the people that make these events what they are...

You also happened to snap this pic, which is pretty rare in that it has Gail and I both in it!

Thanks again for everyone involved. Great job!
Thanks Jim Linda and SVCC

Thanks for the great time and the donation to the charity. Last time I went, I brought my Ruby ZR1 but this time I thought the '67 coupe could handle it and it did. But it did point out how badly I need to get rid of my Coker Banana peels and get some Diamondbacks.
I missed catching up to Rex and RonK, but I will in the Fall.
BTW, my Mother, who is now looking into hospice care with the Blue Ridge Hospice folks, came over to the Brookside to have lunch and see all of us parked all up and down the road. She thought it was fantastic! As we left, we saw the VA trooper coming up the road. My brother took the '67 back to his house in Luray and he told me later that the trooper snuck up behind him and followed for a while. I don't know what he was thinking (the trooper)..did he think that "old" BB would actually be speeding?
Even if he pulled my brother over, he has a get outta jail free retired policeman's badge to show. I hope that old John law didn't nab anyone. Also, Jim, since we talked about the "overpricing" at the Brookside and since we saved the lunch for after the picture, I'd be willing to help you find another location to have lunch in or around the Luray area for a future event, if you'd like. I had a first hand chance to see what you meant when my brother and I went in with our parents and wives and the waitress announced we weren't with the "Corvette people" and were handed menus (we're kinda known there). I can't believe the guy that runs that place would gouge over 125 (conservative estimate)customers like that.
Anyhow, thanks for the great event and thanks for the great close up of my '67!
