Back from Carlisle tonight! Pictures Now
Hey guys, I came back tonight from Carlisle. I spent all my money Friday and Sat. morning. Just kept 20 bucks for gas to make it back home! So I took off around 3:30.
I have a few pictures on disk from a digital camera that I'll post tomorrow. (Dave where do I put the Pictures, so I can hook a link for all of you to see?)
Jackdaroofer told me to tell you all, everything is under control and a good time is being had by all. (or something like that). Mike (UCRUZIN2) has been cleaning his car the last 2 days, so I expect him to win soething in the NCCC show. That car was clean!
Bill Ladkin's car was sure getting some looks. You all know his 65 car. That is one nice car!
What else..... parts and parts and even more parts. And then vettes and vettes and a few more.
If you have never gone, you owe it to yourself to head to Carlisle one year and see what it is all about. I heard that the # of vettes on the fairgrounds was just over 6000 on Saturday around noon. I wouldn't doubt it.
Ok then, picture to follow tomorrow. (I'll try)

Now Ed,
Only $20.00 to bring the car back?? What semi were you drafting behind to conserve fuel?? I thought you could only make it to DC with that amount. :cool: .

I have had Ed pass me at full tilt. He just hits his hyper-sonic drive and was probably back to Newport News In about 12 seconds, and $19.98 of fuel. :D :D
Mike's car looks better than new without polishing it. Two days worth of polishing has to = TROPHIES. Hope he gets one.

OK Dave. For my first time with the digital camera, I'm not too disappionted. Although I wish I would have got more pics for everyone that has never been to Carlisle. You really have to go there to understand.
I didn't take any pics of the swap meet/vendors either. That is half the show. Oh well, I'm just going to practice more.

Ed.....I got 4th :( Heres how things went
1 and 2 tied with -3 points each
3 and 4 tied with -3.5 points each
I got -1 point for a piece of paper towel stuck in the crack of my window about the size of this -----
I got -2 points because they pulled the seats foward ( I knew I was Screwed ) and found a 1/2 a pine tag and a piece of a gum wapper :mad
I got -1/2 point under the hood because I had a piece of electrical tape on a harness that was about 1/4 inch unraveled.
My tie breaker was pop up the headlights and I had a bug booger on the chome ring that holds ya light in :cry
Oh well theres next year and these little things are minor so I can fix.
All in All a Pine Tag cost me 1st :cry :cry I would have had -2.5
Hey I saw a C3 get -1 because of a Hair in his seat :eek: :eek:
1 and 2 tied with -3 points each

Man Mike, I thought you had it won. I walked around and looked at the other competintion, and I knew it was tight. But I thought you would win. (Although I didn't look under or behind your seats!)

Sorry I didn't get to see you on Sunday Mike. One of the guys in my club (YCCC) also had his car in the show. It was judged by members of another club. They ripped him a new one. And his car is nice like yours. He says that's enough for him... No more...
