Default Back from Cruise-in.

Hi peeps and peepettes,
Just got back from Cruise-in ( my first), and it was a blast.
Lots of nice people, and got to meet some folks I only knew from their posts and avatars.
As some of you already know, Valdeztke and I got my tunell plate and x-pipe on, and I installed my Halltech Stinger before leaving for Cruise-in.
But, the GHLs I ordered didn't show up until after I left for Kentucky.
My wife, bless her, shipped 'em to me next day air, and I had them installed down there. WOW!!!!!!!
Later that same day, I got the dyno tune to finish the job. WOW EE WOW WOW WOW!!!!!
Now, I still have to install the Halltech CAI, but I'm gonna need a lift and some more help for that. No hurry.
BTW, I convoyed down with GentleBen.
I don't care what anyone else says, he's a great guy! Even with the lingenfelter beastie, he never left me in the dust.
It must have been killing him!
Lots of rowdy stories to share when I see you all again.

Gary,

Now you need some LG Long Tubes to really wake your "Vette up. I'm sure that Margaret will let you do this. After all, she shipped the GHLs to you in Bowling Green.

Well, GD it, as you know by now, the first thing Margaret said after some riding around in the car after I came back was....
" would it be louder with long tubes?"
WTF??? Who put her up to this?
Now she wants me to put LG long tubes on it! Holy cow! I wasn't planning on doing anything else but installing the Halltech CAI when I can get it on a lift.
Valdez is gonna laugh his azz off when he hears about this. I may end up almost as fast sounding as him.
Guess I'm doomed.

Let's see, how does that saying go? Oh yeah...he was filled with sound and fury signifying nothing.

It was real nice to meet you there Gary. Now listen to the wife and get those Long Tubes!

I don't know about SOUNDING faster than yours, Rob.
You would have to check with Valdeztke after he hears it!
Asking Ben may not get you an answer you could hang your hat on.
Negotiations will begin shortly on the long tubes when I hear back from Tony's.
I do love the sound of the GHLs though, even if Margaret wants more volume!

Nice meeting you too! I don't think Shakespeare had catbacks in mind, there. Maybe " Power corrupts, Absolute power corrupts absolutely" comes closer to the mark.
God help us all if my wife learns to drive a stick.

Gary,

Why not just bite the bullet and buy her her own Vette? I can see a C6 A6 Z51 vert in your near future. . . especially after I tell her that she can modify it "her" way!

OH NO YOU DON'T!
I only have a 1 car garage, and I'm not leaving my 'vette outside.
Also, buying a second 'vette would be out of the question for financial reasons. Boy, you sure like to stir the pot, don't you? And after all the nice things I've said about you. Traitor!

Well, there you go. Obviously you need a bigger garage (say something on the order of Bluewasp's with the lift) so that you can store two Corvettes inside - hmmm, better make sure that there is also room for at least one set of "track" rims/tires and a large tool chest!

Looks like I may have to resort to a life of crime. I'm too old for law school, and not good looking enough to be a male escort!

Ahh, but you are at the right age to be elected to Congress. Just think of all the bribes, ah, excuse me consultancy fees that you could collect. My God man, you could have multiple Corvettes in your garage, which is attached to your mansion in Landsdowne.

With the Maggie and cam, you'll be over 500 hp. Then it's time to widen the rear fenders or minitub and bigger wheels and tires in the rear to put that power down.

I am on the market for a set of OEM C6 Z06 (Z06 specs) wheels.. non polished. I would then powder coated them black.

Lowcash ever talk to that friend of yours about the wheels?
