Default Jacksonville, NC Area Help

My 20 year old son is in the marines and is stationed at the New River Marine Air Base in Jacksonville North Carolina. He just got back from his first stint in Iraq and is scheduled to be redeployed back over there in December.

He just bought a 95 six speed coupe with only 50K from a family friend here in Columbus, Ohio and I will be driving it down to him next weekend.

Although his work on the hydralic system of the helicopter is stellar - he never manages to complete a wrenching session without making the problem worse. So I am looking for the name of a good shop(s) in the Jacksonville/wilmington area he could take the car just in case there are issues.

Anybody live close that could bail him out of jail too!! (Just kidding) (I hope) He clocked a 140 MPH on his motorcycle, he cant possibly resist testing the vette's capabilities.

Thanks in advance.

My wife lives in J-ville as I'm out here once again having fun. I've lived in J-ville for over eight years adding it all together. Everything I ever did with my vette, I did in my garage when I was there. There was never a mechanic that I really knew that would take care of the car like I would. I do know a guy that does good exhaust work or others that do good paint work... but I never really found or did I need some outside mechanical help.
Your son could join the Caro-Vettes corvette club in J-ville and there is a bunch of guys in that club who have lived in Eastern NC for many, many years and they have a lot of contacts.
What squadron is your son with, 261?
Good luck.
Ed
