NOVA - 10% Ethanol gasoline?

NOVA - 10% Ethanol gasoline?
Am I crazy or is this new? I don't recall seeing the 10% ethanol stickers on all the gas pumps around previously. Is this something in the last few months that's been happening in our area, or am I just not very observant?

New law. Before May 2006 10% of gas was some other chemical that caused cancer. In may 2006 a new Federal Law required that chemical to be replace with Ethanol.

MTBE is what is generally used as an oxygenate instead of ethanol, though ethanol was more commonly used in the midwest as the oxygenate. It can get into ground water and such. I hadn't heard it was outlawed though. That sucks... Ethanol doesn't have the same engery capacity as gasoline, and it can corrode fuel lines and such. 10% is within the "tolerable" range but I'm still not a fan. Maybe I'll have to fill up in WVa!
