Just closed on our house in Hamilton Mill yesterday. We're moving from central Alabama. Anybody in here from those parts? Would love to get together with any other forum members. Also, is Bill Heard a good place for sales/service? I've been surfing the net and there are a couple of anti-Bill Heard web pages out there. We'll see you all around cruising. I've got an Orange Flame 75 convertible and a Mag Red C6 coupe. Don't forget to wave.
welcome to Georgia. You'll find a lot of Forum members are from the atlanta metro area. I havent ever used a dealer, but Tom Jumper has always had an excellent reputation amongst Corvette folks
Welcome! I second Tom Jumper in Roswell. They have 3-4 'Vette specialists and are a larger dealership. The Bill Heard in Kennesaw has a good reputation too. Bill Heard owns more dealerships than there are dead squirrels on the Ga. roads on any given night, reps vary wildly.
Dacula has some great trout fishing in the streams around the area.
As for parts, try the Last Detail in Atl, for service Tom Jumper has never done me wrong
Watch your speed in Dacula and Gwinnett County. There is a Gwinnett Sheriff's substation on the Hwy 29 in Dacula. The Gwinnett cops are known for being hard azzes.
Dacula is not a bad place . Everything is on 4 to 5 miles away. I have not found any Trout streams yet, but I did find a lot of vettes. There is someone who lives in Hamilton Mill with acouple of Lamborghinis and a lot of Vettes. Do not take your car to Bill Heard, enough said. Therew are plenty of sweet roads to stretch the vettes legs.
That sounds cool. We're actually moving to Hamilton Mill so I'll have to see if I can find the guy with the Lambos and Vettes. Is he on this forum? Also, he's not some cartel guy or mobster that'll rub me out for having "seen too much"?
Representing the 334 in historic Selma, Alabama. We've been here about 3 years and we've had about all we can stand. We wanted to give the country life a shot but if you're not from one of these southern towns steeped in "history" (translation: segregation with a very hostile black vs. white sense of community), you'll never really fit in, which has been our situation. I wasn't raised that way and I'll be damned if my kids are going to be surrounded by it. Time to move back into the 21st century and can hardly wait!!!!
