The St. Pete Pier show was great and Hot! But I had or have a problem! A fisherman standing on the pier ,behind my 2001 Torch red beauty hooked afish! Well he yanks it in and lowand behold he snagged a 3 foot Octopus!! and where does it end up? It flew on his line and landed on the back window of my Coupe! he was really apologetic ( freaked out) and we couldn't get it to let go of window,Octopi have suction cups on their legs that really stick!! and man did they stick to my window! Well after about a half an hour and we got some Pier maintenance personnel to pry him loose ,they wanted to use a metal crow bar,NO way!! So Mean Green had little beer left in his cup and poured it on him(Octipus) and he started slithering toward mark!!and finally slithered down the back of my car and down a street drain back into the water.
The problem now is does anyone have any idea how to remove etched suction circles from my window glass? I may have to have the window buffed out?I hope insurance covers it.Other than that it was a great day! :cry ;)
Just goes to show......even when an octopus gets hold of a 'vette he doesn't want to let go!
Next time this happens, simply turn on your rear window defroster. The octopus will sense the mild electrical current flowing through the wires and immediately release........no, I'm not an animal expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. :D:D
P.S. You really should have gotten a pic. I still don't know whether to believe this or not. :D  :D
no Ken...that happened early on, in the morning
Peach, Tkbllg and I all showed up around 7:30 or so that morning. Somewhere around 11:30 or so, the "octupus incident" happened. Weird day to say the least ;).
Jeff was parked under the other set of covered parking spaces but sat with us for most of the day
