Default Not trying to ......

Start anything, but I haven't heard of this shop before, and I am at Carolina Dragway 2 nights a week, and I always speak with all the 'Vette owners I see out at the track. Can you tell us more about this shop, maybe something about some of the cars tuned by him ? Does he have a web site ?

I just don't get it, as something is out of wack and I just can not see it grrrr Looks like I will have to order a huricance shroud cover and mount it to the shrod to go over the TRIC cause it just does not seem to fit right grrrrr I am done!

Default Here's a thought....

Hey Dave,
Maybe we should plan a Vette get-together for about two weeks out, then maybe that would give everyone enough time to get their stuff in order and actually show up ? I didn't get my D/R's off either, cleaned my apartment instead ! Hell, I might just leave them on until Thur. night !!!

Steve,
I am down for that! I still have my slicks and skinnies on too, but at least they are shinned up now. I will change rims today, wash, wax and detail the car then head out for a bit I think.

I agree, and maybe we need an Augusta cruise in or something. Any ideas? Meet up someplace with a big parking lot (hootie who) and then cruise someplace and grab a bite.

Default Let's start small.....

Why don't we try for another "Meet-N-Greet" at Hooter's, then cruise out to Carolina Dragway this Thursday night ?

Default Maybe a weekend mod party for a get together??

Don't know if anyone has a garage and tools here since most are not perm party but these are really big back in Texas. Lets everyone show off there cars and knowledge while helping others. Also works good for selling spare parts. Chad

We sued to do mod parties, well, not parties per say, more like leaders recons which would evolve into a movement to contact, envelopment ect... mod/trouble shooting done!

Steve and I are perminant party here (I just got here and am still on leave) and I am sure this can be done. Steve has much better skills then I do, so why not pm some ideas of what you need (headers right?).

Default Don't need to show off...

But I am always willing to help a fellow enthusiast out. I will gladly supervise most any job, as long as the car's owner is gettin' dirty !

Hell yea! I heard one of those on a vid a while back, and liked it. I was actualy thinking about getting some of those to tone down my car a bit, well, actualy thinking of having dragg mufflers and cruise mufflers, but changing 4 rims and mufflers for the track... Too easy. Hard part is getting the car up high enough to get the oem cat back off, and that is wayyyyyy up there. Easiest on a lift. If there a car craft shop on post? Anyone? I did mine @ the COSCOM one @ Bragg a few years ago, as thier's was better then the 82nd one, wierd.
Dave
PS I am not an officer, but I play one on TV

Default Yes.....

There is a craft shop on post, but you have to attend a mandatory safety class before you can check out tools & lifts, or do any work in the shop ! Lot of retired CSM's working there, and they can be real difficult to deal with at times ! I would be glad to help you with your exhaust, but I don't have access to the lift I normally use off post, so for now, I would say the Craft Shop is it !

Sounds like I would spend more time trying to use the lift than I would be on it?? I may go ahead and see about taking the class but will search other COAs. Chad

Default Definitely....

Go ahead and get certified for the Craft Shop, and then it will be there whenever you need to use it ! What you are wanting to do isn't that hard of a job, and it can be done on a garage floor with jackstands, but it goes much quicker on a lift ! Just keep me posted, and we can try to work something out !

Steve,
Yeah I changed several catback systems before just not a corvette that sits so low. I wonder if FT Gordon safety is good for other installations? Only going to be here another 90 days. Chad
