NOVA - help needed
The A/C drain is clogged on the C5 and keeps dumping water in the passenger floorboard and shorting out the BCM etc. (I will spare the details, this is a common C5 problem and there are enough posts on here.)
I need to know if anyone has had this same problem and knows a dealer who knows what they are doing to drain it?
I have had the car to several places and it seems they are clearing the wrong drain (the correct one is supposedly on the firewall behind the left cyl head.) Just a week ago Friday I paid to have it drained and on the next Tuesday it dumped water and shorted out the BCM.
Anyone know of a shop in NoVA that knows this problem and can remedy it successfully? Or, anyone know how I can do this myself (air compressor with vacum attachment, etc.)?
John Herold, give him a call, he knows the C5 inside out....remember he is a club member...think a trip to see John will help you. There are some drains that clog like the C4 in the firewall area..I think John can help you.

Also, I didn't know John knew the new cars too, I will keep that in mind. I just had a new clutch put in it last week.

I would clear the drains yourself so you know it is getting done. There is one the firewall behind the head. You can reach it with your hand so there is no need to pay someone to do it.

It's awesome, shows you were all the drains are, has pictures and even some stuff that you might not have thought of. It was a great help to me.
