I just spoke to Dan's nurse..........his surgery went well......finished around 12:30pm. He is in ICU and he is starting his recovery.
I guess all your prayers worked!
On another note, If you went to a Bank of America branch and made a contribution to Dan's fund................please PM me with the title: Fund.
I don't need amounts.............just trying to keep the bank on the up and up!
Thanks,

Glad to hear about Dan..prayer works!!!
I mailed a check to the fund over the weekend
Thanks for staying on top of this and keeping us informed...say Hi to Dan if you talk to him
Thats great now he can look foward to getting those seat belts back on in about 4-5 months. Keep the prayers going for Dan. its a tough road to full recovery especially within the next few weeks.
Dan's daughter, Nichole, called around noon...........he is doing good, in ICU.........he is sitting up and in good spirit. They went ahead and did a quadtriple bypass.............more later.

Please let his daughter know that if he does not own a recliner, that will have to be his first purchase, and it should be at his home as soon as he gets discharged.
Take it from me, I had 6 way bypass 3 years ago and my recliner was a great friend since you can not lay flat or get up from bed without alot of pain for 5 to 6 weeks post op. Not to mention during the day for the first 3 weeks you still feel like a train wreck and need to rest.
I tried to sleep in my bed the first night home, which was IMPOSSIBLE. The next day Lisa got me my Lazyboy
I wish we lived closer so I could give him mine.....I hope I won't need it again
I spoke to Dan's Mom today...........he is sitting and walking a few times a day..........all tubes have been removed.............he is hurting...to be expected..........but progressing on schedule.........maybe back in a regular room tomorrow!
