Anyone had any work done by these guys? How was your experience? Looking to get some work done on the GS, and these guys seem to be the only gig in SW Florida. So what do you all say?
Jason,
Revxtreme bought Proautotech where we used to have dyno days. It is partially owned by tracy Lewis (Tlewis4095). I have been thinking about setting up a dyno day there to help them spread the word since they just opened. Tracy is a good guy, he'll take care of you
Yeah, I know that Ron got bought out a little while ago. He did the initial tune on the GS. I spoke with Steve there last night, seems like a good guy. Im gonna try to get up there next week to check them out a little.
Well, the only thing I havent touched yet is the motor. Just a little undecided on what I want to do. Prolly wont be until next summer, but starting to put together a game plan now. That 396 sure sounds like fun.
Ft Myers has had a history of some bad Corvette vendors. Hopefully REVXTREME will change that. If its the same REVXTREME, I bouhgt some HID's from them (for my C5R Lights) a couple years back. So far they are still working fine. I heard there was a balast problem with some shipments back then but so far mine are ok

It's the RevExtreme that started up here in Tampa a few years back.
I have to say that since Tracy bought it took over, I've heard some very good comments about them locally.
I still won't let them work on my car, but that goes further back and is something I just need time to get over.
Under the previous management, you were lucky (unless you were in the inner circle ) to get your parts in a month and get them installed in the same. Prices were and workmanship was average (JMHO). This based on observations of work and orders for friends cars and a couple of parts that I eventually got elsewhere on a walk in basis that were "backordered" through Rx.
I really dont want to give my Grand Sport to someone to let them have a shot on building a motor for me. I will prolly let them do a few minor maintenance things that I need taken care of and go from there.

That would be my suggestion Give 'em a shot at the simple sheet and see how they do?

not a bad idea. The simple stuff builds confidence and relationships. If they leave too many loose ends on the simple stuff, then its a RED flag. It woud be nice to see a good shop go up on the SW Coast
