South Florida Events?

South Florida Events?
South Florida gang - I know between the heat and the rain this summer it's been a bit of a drag, but is it me or are there just not too many car show events going on? I know about Tower Shops and there is a show in Pines on 9/30 (out of town so can't participate), but anything else - Vette only or otherwise? If anyone knows of a good source other than here that lists local car shows in South Florida, please let me know. They're also always fun to take the family to regardless of whether I've got the Vette in the show or not. Thanks!

Pre 80 car show at Fudruckers on US 1 and S.W. 104 St in So Dade on the 1st Saturday of the month. Lots of others parked in the surrounding parking areas. Corvette show in Islamorada coming up on November 4th.

Excellent web site! I live in south Broward County and was disappointed by the apparent lack of events in the area other than the tower shoppes. Thanks for the information!!!!

bob, I hope you didnt take this the wrong way. But It shouldnt take any particular individual to have a get together. Roping off the parking lot doesnt always have to be involved. It could be 10-15 people having a fri night out, a cruise on a sat afternoon, even a trip up to bush gardens for us roller coaster freaks.
One time I remember you decided to have a last minute fri night dinner at Crabby Jacks in Boca. It woud be nice if we could get together more often just to bs at a bar, lounge, restaraunt, etc. It seems that Vette owners arent as socially oriented as they once were. I am always game for just about anything. I have to assume that I am not alone on this

I was just pointing out that we are the ones that usually set these up (Mike, Pedro, Jeff, Roger, Me) and honestly we are just too damn busy (except me, i'm broken). 
You are 100% correct that anyone can set these VetteTogethers up. 
I would love to see a few more owners set-up some dates. We always have a great turnout and it's nice to just down a cold one and relax amongst friends.

FloridaSky - as far as the Pines Show, click on the link below for the information. It was a great show last year, but they seemed to have limited it to 100 cars this year. There were a handful of Vettes there compared to the other cars and they had a lot of award categories. Check it out and if you enter, best of luck! We'll be on a cruise at that time this year, so won't be able to make it. But like I said, hopefully we'll be stopping by some of these other events.
