Where exactly? I was up there back in August through SR71/US441 and did not had any problems. That was one beautiful trip though, I wish I could go back again.

Coming down the mountain from Newfound Gap at Campbell Overlook. He was going up the mountain and made a quick turnaround. I saw the lights come on so I just pulled into a turnoff and waited. I just didn't realize the speed limit is 35......and that's hard to do REGARDLESS of what you're driving!
Oh well, can't say I wasn't going over.....and don't ask!!!

FYI. THIS ranger said he sets his standards at 20mph over the limit. That gets you a ticket, below that gets you a good talk'n to.
So yes, I was BARELY over his standards!
I do now know a Rodeo WILL go 35 mph down the mountain! But it takes being in a lower gear to do it. I was there again yesterday and you can BET I was dead on the speed limit!
Again, like ALL law inforcement officers, they're there to keep us safe. Even if it IS ourselves they're protecting us from.
BTW, it's a FEDERAL OFFENSE because you're in the park.
