Not sure if this is legal per forum rules. I'm looking for PMs recommending dealers you have had consistent good experience with along the NC/VA border. I am in the Piedmont region, but willing to drive a reasonable distance for a trusted service department. Maybe it would be the highest volume 'vette dealer in the area?
without a doubt Koons chevy at tysons corner. make sure
JOE MALO
works on the car. he's the best, and will treat the car like it's his.
he knows his stuff, is fair, and won't do anything the car doesn't need. he has serviced my modfied zr1, callaways, and other turbo/blown c5 vettes. Joe is the man.

Although it will be quite a drive from the NC/VA border...
Thanks for the advice. Actually wish I were closer to that one, good to know an actual tech's name. I'm often up in the Harrisonburg area, but not usually making the haul to DC, although it's a good excuse to log some extra time behind the wheel.
Are you looking for routine maintence or work on a modified car...? It
will be hard to find that 'exact' kind of service out in the country
because volume of cars dictate the amount of experience the dealer
will have, unless the owner is a Vette guy. I've had the smaller dealers
turn me down on stuff because it's past the skillset of current techs.
Obviously bigger cities means more Corvettes, but that in itself doesn't
always mean quality work.

I guarantee he is worth the drive. Finding someone who is experienced and good at working on these machines is quite a challenge!
