Re: Raleigh area members!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Y2K253SS)
I don't think I can afford to make a run, but it would be cool to come watch. I haven't had the chance to do anything since school started (heck, I've only been to Hooters once since being back in the triangle!), so I'm itching to get out before it gets too cold!
Re: Raleigh area members!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Y2K253SS)
Ok guys...Let's shoot for the 27th of October since everybody has other plans for the other weeks in October..I will go over there and see if they can accomodate this weekend in general..Everybody let me know if this feasible for everybody.. :smash:

AFRs (190) came in today. Going on tomorrow. New cam is in (218/224, .495/.528 w 114 LS and 110 ICL) Will dyno this time with ported CFI manifold and 2" TBs before installing the Offy. WOOOOHOOOO...
Rob, I have a pair of Dunlop 8000 on 16" C4 9.5" wheels we can stick on her for the dyno runs...
Damn! I just saw my class runs two saturdays. I'll have to check and see what time I'll get out if we do it the 27th.
Another thing to mention... Someone told me the other day that Wake county changes the gas back over to the non-summer version on Nov. 1st. So if we wait a week we don't have to worry about that.
Re: Raleigh area members!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (dba4life)
See, he can't do the 27th so we should back it up a week. Then we get the normal gas too.
In the summer time Wake County (and many others) add stuff to the gas to help with emissions. This causes knocking and other problems when on a dyno. MJS and I both had KR kick in on our dynos earlier.

That's what I did at the Mustang dyno..put half of a tank of 100 in. But SSHHHHH! I'm trying to use it as an excuse to back it up one weekend so I'll be 100% sure to be there...in case I can't get out of class.
