Hey gang ... FYI, the annual Virginia Chevy Lovers' Spring Dustoff for Chevy powered stuff 1987 and back will be Saturday 3/31/07 at Smithfield Center. Hope this one doesn't conflict with Waterside (had to move it back one week this year due to Easter the following weekend). Since I am chair of this show (and DJ ing) I sorta have to be there

He is the one who made it a Corvette Show and the success it has become..and he certainly worked the "hardest" ......along with you,and the help of many others..

Jack and I have talked via Al Gore's invention and I've offered to take on whatever it takes to keep this one alive.
This is and always will be Jack's baby, folks like you Rick have helped a ton but Jack's leadership and relationships on th Forum made it the huge success it is today.
Jack gave me a couple of contacts at Waterside, I'll touch base with them and see what we have to do with the city to get a permit. Jack says that is the toughest part to get through.
I'll hook up with you after the first and see what we can do to get it started if Jack can't this year.

Hey ... I know ... I can leave the '01 Vert over there with y'all and take the '87 coupe and the '46 street rod to Smithfield. With all of my good friends there I know it would be in good hands ... like no one would do burnouts or street race it or anything bad like that.

All in fun ... truthfully I'd be VERY secure in trusting my ride to y'all ... but then I'd miss seeing everyone and dining at Hooters with all the associated ambience ... and where would the fun be in all of that???

Got back from holidays and have some info from Jack will be contacting Waterside and Hooters this week. Will be asking Rick and the usual suspects for help as soon as I know more about the permit process.
Shooting for weekend of March 24 -25 depending of course on available dates.
