Springtime in the Old Dominion is a wonderful thing. Take the chance to catch the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester, take a cruise on the Blue Ridge Parkway, spend a long weekend in Virginia Beach (spring means no crowds), spend at least a couple of days in Williamsburg checking out the colonial history, Richmond for the Shockoe slip, and for goodness sake don’t miss Jamestown’s 400th anniversary celebration. I hope you have a great time here, send me a PM and maybe we can touch base. Four months is not nearly enough time to explore Virginia; I’ve been at it for over 4 decades and learn something new and exciting about Virginia every week.

Hey, John. Welcome to Virginia. Would be glad to have you attend the show in February with the family and me. The white FRC and the silver Z06 pictured above (WayneinVa) belong to my son and me. Hope to have them in the show this year. Will also be attending the February 24th drag race/show at Richmond Dragway as posted by AT&NB above. Please post when you get settled in. Also, the Ratpack will be having their annual show at Waterside (Norfolk,Va) the end of March. Lot of nice vettes.

Default Corvette Club

John – Welcome to Central VA. As you see by the posts there is a lot to do in the area. I would encourage you to check out the Corvette Club of Richmond’s web site @ www.corvetteclubofrichmond.com. There you can download the monthly newsletter, review event photos and get an overview of what the club is about. As luck would have the monthly meeting is this Friday in south Richmond (we rotate between both sides of the river). There is always a party after the meeting; you will find directions on the web site. I am from the U-P and have a brother in Frankenmuth. Another good web site is http://www.carclubcouncil.com were you can review what’s going on in the car hobby including events and cruise-ins. Hope you are having a strong start to your new year! Best Regards. Ed

Another must do is Summit Point Racetrack. Even though the track is in west Virginia it is too close and too much fun not to do while you are here. Spring will bring Friday at The Track (FATT) HSDE events almost weekly. I have been told that VIR is just awesome also.

I'm in the west end of Richmond; about 15 minutes from Ashland. PM me if you want to hook up. Ashland is a great small town. I go there a lot to get away from the crowds.

Sure would be nice to see that car at the National.

Did you bring it or are you a weekly traveler like I am?

I am traveling back to Detroit on the weekends until I sell my house. Eventually the end game will be down in Atlanta.
I'll play it by ear, as the weather cracks if I trailer old bowtie8 down there. I'll keep my eyes pealed for a place to put it.
