ok guys, Steve (raistlin) and i and my brother and a few other guys from here all went to Jacksonville last night, i gotta tell ya, its way fast, but not quite as sticky as fayetteville. i was unable to best my 12.32 from fayetteville, but oonly because of a missed gear on my last runmy new best 1/8th mile MPH is a 93.79, missing 4th gear and finding 6th kept me from running my best, i still ran a 12.48@108 after MISING 4TH. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN MY FASTEST TO DATE! DAMNIT!
OH WELL, GOIN AGAIN TO JACKSONVILLE NEXT THURSDAY IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO GO, IT 10 BUCKS TOTAL TO RACE AND 5 TO JUST WATCH, CHEAPER TOO THEN FAYETTEVILLE!
Chris----sounds like you were rollin. You didn't heat that clutch up again on that missed shift did you??What kind of 60' times were you able to pull up there.I may be able to go next thursday--so let me know if you decide to go---i know my vette is all stock, but i kind of enjoyed runnin the snot out of it last month with you and would like to see if i can get it going a little quicker.
Chris-- glad you had a good time--- if I ever get these damn lights fixed, I'd love to go  -- You missed an incredible concert at Marrz, though--- Cold, Dope, and Lifer---Amazing:)
MDL, Thanks, yeah get them light straightned out,m bringf her over and we'll hunt down the problem i have a multimeter here we can figure out whatrs going on if ya want! going again next thursday, i thin, mit should be fun!
NCvetteman,
Yes, i have run at Kinston, its ok, i am not real fond of the lighting there, but you usually get quite a few runs in! all in all a fairly fast track. have to have a helmet there! even if your in the 14's! i'v been to fayetteville and jacksonville now too and am planning on making it to the rock soon! jacksonville is not as clean and organized as fayetteville, but its faster and had alot more people there then fayetteville. all in all pretty cool, plus they do the quick 8 which they give trophies out for. the quickest 8 cars at the track battle it out to make the final round, once you qualify, its bracket racing though, not sure if your into that, its kinda fun! i didn't wear a helmet last night and they never said anything to me and ran a mid/low 12 second pass@113 so guess thats a big no for helmets there. you oughttas com on down thursday and join us there, it 10 bucks for the runs ya can make and a few of us from wilmington will be going, and maybe even some of the guys from raleigh may show up! should be a lot of fun again, and this time i am gonna make those elusive 11's, and then im gonna pout the bottle on her! :D

I'll think about it (Thursday), may not be good, as I'm going to be vacationing in Charleston Sat-Tues, and may have to do a GroupWise 6 upgrade one of those nights when I get back.... What time on Thurs? I'm going to make it one day. I heard even though Kinston requires a helmet, it can be "any" helmet, doesn't gave to be a drag spec helmet.... not sure.
