Default Pigeon Forge

Anybody go to the Spring Grand Run in Pigeon Forge this weekend ? I saw lots of Corvettes but the traffic was unreal. Much bigger crowd than the Shades of the Past in September.

Missed it this year. Had to work this weekend. Wish I could have been there.

I went Friday. I leave home {Knoxville} around 7:00 AM. This avoids the 'going in traffic' that gets really bad after 9:00 AM. I just spend a couple of hours eating breakfast and wandering around the motel parking lots looking at the rides. This year I was finished by 2 PM and came home via Weirs Valley and the foothills parkway. Waht a great day, I saw more bicycles than cars on the FHP.

Default Rod Run

We went down early Saturday AM and walked the parkway all day and into the night. There were some really good muscle cars and a few really nice vettes. My favorite was one of the stretch C1 bodies on a C5 chassis. We spent the night on Saturday night and got up early Sunday, popped the top, and headed across the mountain to Cherokee. We hit the Blue Ridge Parkway and had a great and beautiful day of cruising.
The only way to do the rod run is to park your car and hoof it. Also, it is great to be there at night and watch folks creep along in bumper-to-bumper traffic. We saw more blue lights this year than ever before.
