Default [RCG] - May Meeting Request

Ok folks...i've been asked by a couple members that since the 2nd Saturday in May (May 12th) is Mommy's day weekend...if we could move our meeting date one week either way to either the 5th or the 19th.

There's an active poll over at our news site...so when you get the chance swing by'n throw in your 2¢!

Thanx!

*HEAVY sigh*...here's another part of the problem. Iffun we push it BACK a week...we'll start hit'n the Race Week crowd. Iffun we move it UP a week...then we're dealin with the Cinco de Mayo party.

May's lookin' like it's gonna be tough no matter what we do.

Chris and I wouldn't be able to attend on the 5th .... that's the day we depart from Disney....... BTW... we just arrived and the resort we are staying at is wonderful! If the 5th works best for everyone else ... that is fine... we see everyone frequently and we can always have someone update us.

And before I forget.... does anyone want anything from down here?

Yea, a couple of good pictures of the Canal. I've seen it from the air, but not up close and personal. Enjoy the great trip. I'm as green with envy as my Vette.

We are presently at Disney until May 5th... then we are home for a week... then gone for two on the coast to coast ocean voyage. I will make sure I take a lot of good and detailed photos for you!

I've heard from a number of folks that have suggested the 19th, and just change the venue to one away from Speedway Blvd for that one meeting. Sounds like a plan to me!!!

I've had Midtown at the lake suggested...any other sites of interest?

Midtown popped in my head mainly because it's on the lake with outdoor seating. There are a lot of places down there but most have limited parking and don not have out door seating.

Of course, there's always Vinnie's in Mooresville.

We had a meeting a few years ago at the Vinnie's over off 16....so Vinnie's'd work too!

The Vinnie's off of 16 is a good change of pace. Let me know what is finally decided for the date and place.

Ok...folks have spoken and the concensis is to push it back to 5-19 at an alternative site. So far there's been 3 locations proposed.

Vinny's at the lake (Mooresville)
Vinny's on Hwy 16 (Hootersville?)
And Midtown (hootersville...i think)

Any other suggestions?

Jim, pick a date and place and we loyal members will show up, unless we are stuck working.
