Default Porter Cable 7424 car buffer.

Anyone in the area have one of these I can borrow for tomorrow? I need to work on the swirls that came with my car. I know they are the hottest mod around on black but I'd really like to go back to stock.

Let me know if you have one I can use. I'm a well trusted member of the Corvette Community here in NOVA (no comments from the peanut gallery)

Borrow? Why don't you buy one? BTW you really need to work out scratches with that PC. If you're brave use a real buffer...

Well why I said borrow was because I can't find a place that has them in stock locally nor would they have lake county pads as most users of the PC do.

I found a 74XX PC but it has a min speed of 1000. I dont feel like burning through my paint just yet. Brave = stupid (sometimes)

Home Depot and Lowes sell them. Of course any big box store or tool supply or body shop supply also stocks them. Surely those businesses exist in Virginia.

I went to the ONE Lowes in the area - they dont stock them nor do they carry them online. Also, I was at 2 home depots today - they dont have them either.

So yes VA does have those stores, those big box stores dont carry the PC any longer.

I did buy a larger PC 7428 Rotary new from a guy locally on craigslist w/ 8 pads never used for 80.00

Yes, but at least it paid for some new gas pumps at the General Store.

Hey I resent that. I was the first one here to marry outside the family.
